My Fibromyalgia pain is almost non-existent

Before I came to Corrective Chiropractic, I was suffering from low back pain, Fibromyalgia, and headaches. I had been living with these symptoms for over 5 years. Because of the pain, I had difficulty lifting my son, playing sports, and completing daily tasks. My family physician and a specialist both prescribed muscle relaxers and several other medications to help me cope with the pain. The medication did not cure my problem. It was not until I began care at Corrective Chiropractic that my Fibromyalgia pain was greatly reduced so that it was almost non-existent. My lower back had improved quite a bit and my headaches are a rare occurrence. Since first coming to this office, I also started my son under care and he was just recently honored correction of the month with the great results that he has had as well. I have noticed a change in his overall health. He how gets much fewer colds and flues. Dr. Childs and Dr. Durr along with the staff are a delight. They make coming to the office a pleasant experience. At first, I was very reluctant to try chiropractic care. In fact, I was probably one of the most skeptical patients Dr. Childs has had to work with. When I finally decided to give chiropractic a shot, I was thrilled with the results. My first re-x-ray revealed those results and I was then convinced that chiropractic really works.

When I think of what you have enabled me to do in just 4 weeks…I am truly beyond grateful

For 4 years I have prayed for a miracle. Thank God I never gave up because when I walked into Corrective Chiropractic a month ago it happened!
I can still picture the day when 2 ½ years ago the “specialists” told me that my Fibromyalgia would have me in a wheelchair or bedridden within a year. Then they patted me on the back and handed me more pills. As far as I was concerned they had just handed me my death sentence. I “walked” out of their office that day and never returned. And for the next 2 ½ years I’ve “lived” (if that’s what you want to call it) in my “hell” and just kept going to the family physician who only gave me more and more pills that really didn’t work.
When I think of what you have enabled me to do in the past 4 weeks (clean my house, paint two ceilings and our dining room, weed and plant a 16 by 20 foot garden, walk my dog, drive back and forth to your office and other places, plus so much more) I am truly beyond grateful!
If anyone ever asked Phil or me if we believe in miracles all we could say was yes. God put two very special angels who really care in our lives…Dr Durr and Dr. Childs. Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough, but that’s all I can say.

I can complete a whole day’s activities with more energy.

I came to see Dr. Durr and Dr. Childs because of having Fibromyalgia, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both hands and herniated cervical disks and a bulging lumbar disk. All other solutions were exhausted and I was facing surgery. I was in constant pain, which made it difficult to do housework or gardening. Now after chiropractic care, I have been discharged from physical therapy, I am in the best shape in years, and I am better able to perform household tasks and complete a whole day’s activities with more energy.

After three months, the Fibromyalgia pain is gone!

In the spring of 2003 I had a flair-up of Fibromyalgia after it had been in remission for about nine years. The prescribed medication to treat Fibromyalgia also kept me from sleeping at night and this was not for me. It only made things worse. Pain medication did not help very much either.
Then, in the fall I had a car accident, a rear end collision that made the Fibromyalgia pain even worse. That is when my daughter saw the Corrective Chiropractic Outreach Ad about Fibromyalgia treatment in her newspaper.
I called this great office, met with Dr. Durr and Dr. Childs and very soon got treatment started. NO PILLS, NO PAIN MEDS, just adjustments, exercises and also understanding about how old injuries can cause this to happen.
Now, in January 2004, after three months, The Fibromyalgia pain is gone!
At 68 years of age, with only a few “creaks” in my joints once in a while, I feel good. My plan is to continue to loose some weight and join an exercise program to build up my strength.
Thank you all for so much help and attention.

They would just tell me there was nothing wrong and it might be in my head.

I have been under Dr. Durr and Dr. Childs care for a little over a year. Before I went to see them was suffering from Fibromyalgia and migraine headaches. The Fibromyalgia was getting worse every day.   At one time I could see myself not being able to stand or walk, getting up the stairs was very hard and my husband would have to pull me out of bed in the mornings. My life was miserable  I had a hard time getting around on a daily basis, the house was dirty, the yard was suffering, my enjoyment of life was no more. There was pain in everything I tried to do. Over a period of a few years the problems kept getting worse and there was no hope for improvement.
I had been to many kinds of doctors, had x-rays, and seen a Rheumatologist, tried physical therapy and acupuncture, even went to Physical Electromyography to have a test done on the nerves of my body. My doctor at the time even suggested a psychiatrist. All to no avail and so they kept putting me on more and more medication including pain medication. They even tried bee venom shots! They would just tell me there was nothing wrong and it might be in my head.
Currently the headaches are nearly gone. The Fibromyalgia is improving at a steady rate. I’m able to enjoy myself again working in the yard, playing with our grandchildren, keeping the house in order, and still working every day, even did some traveling this past year.
Dr. Durr & Dr. Childs have helped me immensely and I look forward to each and every visit I have with them. The office staff is very friendly and helpful, as well as, very accommodating about your visits. I am so grateful that I saw that newspaper ad about the doctors. Even though I have to travel a few miles each week it is worth it and could NOT imagine my life without the doctors and staff.
